Functional Activity and Continual Change Preceding Death
What is life?
firstly i want say about origin of life, origin of life from earth earth is divided into ERA,period and epoch, ERA is also divide into palaeozoic era, mesozoic era, coenozoic era nd this era is divide into period nd this period is also divide into epoch ,in palaeozoic era formation of some high mountain plants organic compound are formed, and mesozoic era is also known as "age of reptiles",coenozoic era is known is "age of insects" in simple terms origin of life from some small pisecs or fossils

life is actually the sum of certain characters (movement, feeding, growth, reproduction) which differentiate b/w living organisms and non_living things.

Similar to ecosystem (which consist of both abiotic and biotic factors); life is also combination of two things, you may also say it a type of symbiosis.
The first factor that participate in life is-the physical matter. Means the abiotic components which are made by cells, which are further made of molecules, which are of atoms, which are of electron ,proton and neutrons; which are further made up of quarks. According to modern superstring theory-quirks are also made up of superstrings, whose vibrations in a particular direction produce a particular type of atom. Different vibrations of superstring produce different elements and progressively student genomes leading to didn't phenotype of individuals. I am talking about the physical body which remains dead after death of organism.
The second factor that participate in symbiosis along with this physical body to form life, is a little different thing which is not accepted by science till now. But theory of everything also prove that.
Ya, obviously I'am talking about the so called-SOUL (SPIRITUALLY). But according to me, that thing is not only a thinking, that is in reality. Soul MAY BE a type of dark matter or it MAY BE also a type of negative energy. If we analyse SOUL putting it in space of these hypothetical things, it fulfils its properties.
So now, where both of the things come in contact of each other, life is produced similar to formation of lichen by symbiosis. And death is nothing else but separation of both of them when they are not capable to fulfill one another's requirements.
The characters explained in other explanations of life are only symbols of predicting a living thing, they are not in real the life is.

life is the ability of living things to feed, reproduce, excrete, growth and develop and finally respire
Something with life is typically defined in most textbooks as meeting 5 different criteria…
1. ability to adapt to its environment
2. ability to reproduce on its own
3. uses resources/source of nutrients
4. made of cells
5. grows and develops
I've always contemplated a 6th criteria, that being "using a genetic code ie. DNA, RNA" and never really considered #2 as a legitimate tenet…
Thus, according to the original 5 criteria, viruses would not be considered living because they cannot reproduce on its own. Additionally, mules cannot reproduce (because they have an odd number of chromosomes) and thus wouldn't be considered "living" under this definition.
What do other people think?
Most textbooks describe it as meeting 5 main criteria…
1. ability to adapt to its environment
2. ability to reproduce on its own
3. grows and develops
4. made of cells
5. uses resources/a source of nutrients.
I've always contemplated a 6th tenet, which would be "uses a genetic code ie. DNA, RNA" and have always thought the 2nd tenet as bogus.
Viruses cannot reproduce on its own and must use a host cell to reproduce. There is some grey area as to whether a virus is considered living or not. However, mules cannot reproduce (because they have an odd number of chromosomes) and thus they would also be considered not living.
What do the other scientists of the world think?
inherent capacity of organism to survive and to reproduce.
According to the dictionary the life is defined as
The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death this complete phenomenon process is know as Life….
